This could mean that you've lived in foster, residential, secure or kinship care or it could describe you if you have (or had) a compulsory supervision order (CSO) through a Children's Hearing where you've had extra support at home from social work services. The term is also used to describe people who are care leavers meaning that they are no longer in care.
This group is all about raising awareness of the experiences of young people who have been 'affected by the care system' and they volunteer their time to improve the services provided to children and young people throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
