We are proud to have opportunities for young people to get involved in both local and national decision making in Dumfries and Galloway through our Regional Youth Council and Champions Board Project!
Dumfries & Galloway's Regional Youth Council is a group of 35 members who want to make change and get young peoples voices heard across the region.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Dumfries and Galloway Council has held a license to run the Duke of Edinburgh's Award for the young people of our region since the 1970's.
From Award levels, sections and times to why doing DofE can really make a difference in your life. This section gives you the information you need to know and details for how to enrol, today!
We have lots of opportunities for you to get involved in changing the lives of young people for the better.
The Duke of Edinburgh has basic national enrolment fees.
You can do your DofE at a number of Centres across the region. There are school based groups and community based ones.

Mental Health Support
Dumfries & Galloway Council are committed to supporting our young people to deal with the impacts of COVID-19, Our Council has invested in setting up a community based young people's mental health support service that is now being delivered within Dumfries & Galloway across all 12 ward areas.
As part of the Scottish Government current programme, there is a commitment to provide counselling within schools across Scotland to support young people from P6 - S6.
